POPULAR Southall MP Piara Khabra has died.
The 82-year-old, who had been in hospital since April with a liver complaint, died last night.
The MP, who has served in Ealing Southall since 1992, had been in Hammersmith Hospital, being treated for abcesses on his liver.
Mr Khabra, who was born in Punjab in 1924, was the oldest MP serving in the House of Commons.
He leaves his wife Beulah.
