EALING may work alongside Harrow and Brent councils to help reduce library and leisure services costs across the three boroughs.
With the need to reduce its overall budget by £85m by 2014, Ealing Council is investigating a number of options to make savings.
Jointly running services with the neighbouring boroughs may be a way of cutting costs. The borough will also consider proposals from any charity groupd.
Councillor Ranjit Dheer, cabinet member for community services and safety, said: “We will begin detailed work to see if entering into a joint contract could help cut those costs. We will look carefully at any proposals presented and are clear that we won’t do anything we don’t feel is right for Ealing.”
