A BUILDER was beaten and robbed by a gang of youths after a night out.
The 30-year-old man went into Royal Food and Wines in Uxbridge Road, Ealing, at around 4am on Sunday July 27 and saw a group of teenagers in the shop.
He took out his wallet to pay for some goods when he was punched in the back of the head by one of the teenagers. Another teenager snatched his wallet out of his hand and they all fled the shop.
The victim gave chase and confronted one of them who threatened him with a pen knife. He punched one of them in the face in self-defence and a struggle ensued.
The gang then ran off with the victim's wallet containing £300 in cash towards the Polish Church in Windsor Road.
Two of the attackers are described as black, 19 years old, about 6ft tall with short black hair. The other two are described as black, 19 years old and about 5ft 10ins tall with short black hair.
The victim suffered a one inch cut to his left eye and swelling to the left side of his head.
