AN up-and-coming record producer is to have his remix featured on an American Hip-Hop star's next single.
Mentor, 25, whose studio is based in Wadsworth Road, Perivale, was approached by US rappers Timbaland & Magoo's record company Blackground Entertainment to re-mix their next single called Cop That Disc.
Record Company bosses loved Mentor's version so much that his remix will now be available on the single's general UK release next week.
Mentor, who is the younger brother of Rishi Rich, another popular music producer, told the Times: "Blackground heard of me and got in touch with me. They wanted an Asian, Bhangra vibe for the single and asked me to remix it."
Mentor, who has also worked with artists such as Nitin Sawhney and Craig David, is currently working on his own hardcore Desi and contemporary Hip-Hop album. He added: "I would love to work with Alicia Keys and Naz because I love their music. I would also like to do something with Dizzee Rascal. Hopefully one day it might happen."
