A LEATHER-CLAD biker robbed a busy post office at gun-point.
A man dressed in biker leathers and a helmet walked into a post office in The Avenue, West Ealing, at about 3.50pm on Thursday, May 19 and pointed a silver handgun at the 34-year-old female cashier and demanded money.
She handed over £500 cash and he walked out of the shop. No shots were fired and nobody was injured.
He was seen getting onto a black or dark-coloured motorbike and ride off towards Argyle Road, West Ealing. He is described as a dark-skinned man, aged 20 to 25, 5ft 3ins to 5ft 5ins tall and of medium build. He was wearing a black leather jacket and trousers and a black crash helmet and was believed to have an English accent.
A spokesman for Ealing police said: "We are keen to trace this man and would encourage anyone who may have seen anything or knows anything to come forward. Did you see him arrive or leave the post office?"
The cashier and an 80-year-old customer were not injured but suffered from shock. They did not need hospital treatment.
