New talent will take centre stage at The Questors as graduates of one of the theatre's courses present its latest stage offering.
Trelawny of the 'Wells' will run at the Judi Dench Playhouse from 15th July and is being led by graduating students of the Questors Academy Advanced Performance course.
A celebration of the theatre itself, Pinero’s classic play is not just a love story but a play about the inevitability of change – in theatre as well as in life.
It follows the adventure of Rose Trelawny, the title character, who must choose between the glamour and excitement of a life on the stage and a new, and very upper-class, conservative married life.
The Questors Theatre has been training actors for more than 70 years.
Graduates have gone onto careers on the stage and screen.
Former student Rahul Kohli who currently stars in Netflix series iZombie, remembers his time studying at The Questors Theatre fondly.
He describes his fellow students as 'some of the finest actors I’ve ever worked with'.
Everyone from Julie Walters to Damian Lewis has had something to say about elitism in acting and in actor training of late.
But in Ealing, staff at The Questors are determined to ensure quality, affordable acting training is still available.
How apt that the graduating students’ final play light-heartedly examines social mobility, the theatre and love!
Opening night tickets are £5 and details of performance times are below.
15th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd July at 7:45pm
