A UK charity working in Kenya to ease the problems of period poverty for women and girls is appealing for funding.
Raise The Roof Kenya - founded by Holly Bantleman, 31, of Ealing - hopes to raise £30,000 to set up a hub where women can make washable and re-usable sanitary pads.
It will also create 13 jobs for unemployed women in the rural area of Barut.
The crowdfunder will help pay for a space to produce the pads while also providing sewing machines and fabric.

Since Raise The Roof Kenya launched in 2012, it has helped 45,000 women and girls.
A social media campaign to support the funding call has begun and the donation page can be found here: https://www.justgiving.com/campaigns/charity/raisetheroofkenya/julianna
Holly Bantleman said: “Women and girls who receive the pads talk about the increase in their freedom, confidence and the ability to participate equally to men and boys in the community.”
