AN independent three-screen cinema and community arts venue is planned for the Karma night club site at Ealing Broadway shopping centre.
Operator Really Local Group will work with British Land to transform the ground floor and basement in time for opening early next year.
The ground floor will also include a café and, in response to local demand, the space will be flexible to accommodate activities ranging from co-working during the day to performances in the evening.
The three-screen cinema will be located in the basement, with ticket prices promised as affordable.
Jan De Schynkel, arts and culture manager at Ealing Council, said: “This great addition to Ealing town centre represents a new chapter in Ealing’s rich film heritage.”
