A FORMER Ealing student won Best New Artist at this year’s Brit Awards.
Rapper Little Simz, who studied music management at the London College of Music before her career took off, collected her award this week.
Little Simz is described as ‘a rapper’s rapper’, having written, recorded and released four mix tapes, five EPs and her first studio album – all on her own label - by the age of 21.
Prof Anthony Woodman, Deputy Vice-Chancellor at the University of West London, where LCM is based, said: “This is an absolutely incredible achievement for one of our former students.”
