FIRE crews were called to a collapsed ceiling at a block of flats in Avenue Crescent, Acton, last night (13).
Part of the plasterboard ceiling in the bedroom of a ground-floor flat came down.
One person left the building before the brigade arrived, but firefighters released a man who was trapped. He was taken to hospital by ambulance.
The brigade was called at 11.30 and the incident was over for crews shortly after midnight.
One fire engine from Acton and a rescue unit from Battersea attended.
