YOU can step back into film history as Gunnersbury Park and Museum celebrates the work of Ealing Studios stills photographer Roy Gough.
A stills photographer had the vital role of photographing film sets, studio shoots or portraits of the stars that could be used to create publicity for films.
Roy's photo collection gives a backstage view of the classic films of the time, including Whisky Galore! and The Lavender Hill Mob.
The new online gallery showcases some favourites from the 2000-plus prints held in Gunnersbury Park Museum’s archive and explores Roy Gough’s career at Ealing Studios.
The gallery is complemented by oral histories from Roy himself on what it was like to work in the studios and the characters he encountered along the way.
The online gallery includes some short clips from the films and some re-animated images.
Visitors will also be able to buy prints of their favourite movies and actors, all available from the website:
