THREE Wetherspoon pubs in Ealing borough have won acclaim for the quality of their toilets – in the Loo of the Year Awards.
The Red Lion & Pineapple in Acton High Street, Acton, The Sir Michael Balcon in The Mall, Ealing and The Greenwood Hotel in Whitton Avenue West, Northolt, have each been awarded a platinum rating by inspectors. Their visits were unannounced.
The awards are aimed at highlighting and improving standards of 'away from home' toilets.
Toilets are judged against numerous criteria, including décor and maintenance, cleanliness, accessibility, hand washing and drying equipment and overall management.
