A MULTI-million pound investment in the electricity network in North Acton will start next month.
Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) aims to boost its infrastructure in an area of fevered development.
A £16m programme of work will run in two phases over 15 months, increasing capacity and strengthening power supplies to 63,000 customers.
The first phase involves cable routing from the existing Canal Bank sub-station to Leamington Park.
Some sections of the A40 between Horn Lane and Victoria Road will require weekend working, to ensure the safety of engineers and road users, while minimising traffic disruption.
This day and night weekend working will take place between January 20 and March 26.
It will be followed in the Spring by cabling work in Noel Road, Victoria Road and Wales Farm Road, where traffic management will be required.
At all stages, homes and businesses will be unaffected.
