Surrey's Oliver Bonding and Warwickshire's Luca Pow are one win away from securing a wild card into qualifying for Wimbledon this summer after coming through their Boys' semi-finals at the LTA 18U Junior National Championships.

In windy conditions at the National Tennis Centre in Roehampton, the Surrey duo of Hannah Klugman and Isabelle Lacy are also one win away from a Wimbledon qualifying wild card after they won their semi-finals in the Girls' tournament.

Bringing together the very best and most promising junior talents from all regions in Great Britain to compete for the titles, the LTA Junior National Championships is a showcase for the brightest stars in the game, with Bonding and Klugman set to compete in Finals for a second week in succession.

Bonding, who is Britain's top-ranked junior boy at No.40 in the ITF rankings, lost the 16U Final against Benjamin Gusic-Wan last Friday, but the 15-year-old is hoping to go one better against Pow in the 18U tournament.

"It was windy out there, but I don't mind that because I have a low ball toss on my serve," said Wimbledon-based Bonding, who beat last year's 18U LTA Junior Nationals champion Henry Searle from Staffordshire 6-3 6-2. "It's great to get through to another Final and hopefully I can play well on Friday."

Pow trains at the LTA's National Academy in Loughborough, where he benefits from a high-intensity daily training environment with world-class science and medicine support, working in partnership with a local school, to help them successfully develop into emerging tour professionals.

"I didn't start, but I managed to turn it around in the first set," said Pow, who beat Nottingham's Phoenix Weir 7-6(4) 5-7 6-3. "Then at 5-2 in the third set, the rain came and we had to start again. So I'm glad I managed to come through and get the win."

In the Girls' event, 14-year-old Klugman is looking to do the LTA Junior Nationals double after winning the 16U event last week and she is relishing the chance to compete for another title.

"It was a really tough match, but I played the right game to get the win so I'm really pleased about that," said Klugman after her 6-2 6-4 win over Middlesex's Mika Stojsavljevic, who she also beat in last week's 16U Final. "It's so windy playing outdoors, so I'm happy to get through it."

Klugman will take on Lacy in the Final after her impressive 6-1 6-0 victory against top see Ella McDonald.

"I lost the last time I played against Ella, so I wasn't expecting to win with that scoreline," said Lacy. "The wind was really hard to manage, but I played really well and it is fantastic to get the win.

"Hannah is playing well and we know each other so well. We train together all the time, so it should be a good match."

Klugman and Lacy are supported by the LTA through the Men's and Women's Programme and train at the National Tennis Centre, with Klugman also training at Reeds under her coach Ben Haran.
