CONTRACTS have been signed for the first tenants at Parkside Yards, opening at The Green Quarter, Berkeley St George's development in Southall, this summer.
OPEN – the independent arts organisation behind Dickens Yards OPEN Ealing – has signed up to be one of the first new tenants and will launch its new community and creative hub in June.
Parkside Yards is designed to bring the community together through an arts programme, flexible working space and an outdoor piazza, with places to eat, meet, drink, shop and play.
The new OPEN Southall hub will celebrate the area’s ceramic history. The Martin Brothers, known worldwide for Martinware ceramics, began their first studio 150 years ago in Southall.
Parkside Yards will also feature a meadow walk, with picnic benches and children’s play areas.
