GROUPS across Ealing are celebrating being awarded more than £2,500 of National Lottery funding to host community-led activities.
It is part of London’s first Mayor’s Community Weekend taking place from June 23-25.
It is thanks to a partnership between the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, and The National Lottery Community Fund.
Events taking place in Ealing include the Family Fun Sports Day hosted by Smile Of A King Foundation, which was awarded almost £1,500.
There will be almost 200 events taking place across all of London’s boroughs, celebrating the importance of volunteering and the role young people can play.
