ARK Acton Academy achieved the best GCSE results in the school's history.

Despite a significant dip in national results, the school improved on last year, with English and maths attainment up by seven percentage points from 2019 and three percentage points on 2022.

Principal Oli Knight said: “This rounds off a great year for the school as we secured our first-ever Good Ofsted judgement and fantastic university and apprenticeships for our recent Year 13 leavers.”

Particular successes include:

  • Jayden Enede, youngest of three brothers to attend Ark Acton, who secured nine GCSEs with Grades 8 and 9. Jayden is also a talented musician and is going on to study Physics, Maths and Economics in the sixth form.
  • Julia Gutkowska, who secured 10 GCSEs with Grades 8 and 9. This has set her up to follow her ambition of becoming a doctor.
  • Mohamedamin Nuur, who secured six Grade 9s, including English and Maths.
  • Kevyn Dantas, captain of the academy football team who has secured a contract with Brentford FC. He achieved ten Grade 7s and above.
