IT has been a busy Easter holiday for Ealing Hospital’s peregrines, Dusty and Freddy.
The pair are currently sitting on four eggs, which should hatch by the end of April.
To date, the pair have produced five offspring after setting up home on a ledge on the 10th floor in 2022. This was encouraged by Ealing Wildlife Group, who set up a nest box.
Peregrines remain relatively rare in London and the news has been welcomed by vet Sean McCormack, who is also Chair of Ealing Wildlife Group.
“It’s great to see peregrines breeding again,” he said.
Dusty and Freddy made a flap on the BBC earlier this year when they featured in Hamza’s Birds of Prey, with presenter Hamza Yassin travelling around the UK visiting his favourite raptors.
