EALING Broadway shopping centre has opened its free Preloved School Uniform Shop.
It aims to help families find essential school clothing items over the Easter holidays ahead of the new term.
The centre received more than 1,300 donations of good-quality school items for its dedicated donation box, Items include branded and non-branded uniform, sportswear, footwear and school bags.
The free pop-up will run daily until Saturday (13) from 10am-4pm, while stocks last, with visitors invited to browse and choose up to four items.
The initiative follows a similar event last summer, when nearly 3,000 families donated 10,242 pre-loved school items. Over ten days, 2.27 tons of clothing were prevented from going to landfill.
Andrew Rollings, centre director, said: “The volume of donations has been incredible, with hundreds of families getting involved.”
