PLANS are being made for an expansion of the Superloop bus network in London, including a route from Ealing to Kingston via Richmond.
Factors to be considered before final proposals are confirmed include road suitability, interaction with other transport, passenger demand and how the routes serve town centres and other key locations.
The Superloop routes are express services, stopping fewer times and connecting town centres, hospitals, transport hubs, schools and key locations in outer London.
Further progress may depend on the result of the mayoral election in London on May 2.
Sadiq Khan, the Labour candidate and present mayor, said: “The proposed new routes will all be subject to consultation with Londoners, but I’ve asked TfL to start looking at how they could best serve key locations – whether popular town centres, other transport hubs or public services like hospitals.”
