THE Priory Farm at St Augustine’s Priory in Ealing is teeming with new life.
Spring lambs are enjoying some sunshine, day-old guinea pig pups are coming to terms with the world and newly-hatched chicks are also thriving.
St Augustine’s Priory, a Catholic independent day school for girls, has more than 12 acres of grounds in which the farm is situated.
A school farm is a rare occurrence in London and, with chickens, ducks, guinea pigs, sheep and three pygmy goats, it offers an opportunity for pupils to learn about animal husbandry.
St Augustine’s Priory also welcome visitors from other schools to learn about the animals.
More guinea pig pups and yet another lamb are expected at any time!
