MAKE Sense Theatre Company, part of Villiers High School in Boyd Avenue, Southall, has been selected to perform Wind/Rush Generation(s) at the National Theatre on Saturday, June 29.
It is one of 10 groups selected to appear at the NT Connections Festival, having first performed the play at the Lyric Theatre Hammersmith.
Make Sense was started to give students a sense of professionalism when creating school productions and has now evolved into a more permanent group.
The cast comprises students from years 10-12.
Now in its 29th year, the Connections Festival champions the talent of young people aged 13-19 from across the UK.
Make Sense has also been invited to work backstage and on the lighting and sound design for the production.
Bryony Gough, director of Make Sense Theatre Company and head of drama at Villiers High School, said “Connections has been an incredible experience for me and my cast. This has been a real community project at every step of the way.”
