EALING Broadway shopping centre’s free Clothes Swap will be returning next weekend (May 25-26) after its success in February.
The event, which will take place next to Flying Tiger Copenhagen, is run in partnership with Love Not Landfill.
It provides a sustainable way to recycle old or unwanted clothes in return for new pre-loved items.
After receiving donations on Saturday, the team will transform the space into a shop for visitors to browse and spend up to five tokens on updating their wardrobes on the Sunday.
Timings are as follows:
- Saturday, 10am-4pm: Drop off clothes at the swap point next to Flying Tiger and pick up a maximum of five tokens.
- Sunday, 10am-4pm: Visitors can return and cash in their tokens for new pre-loved items.
In 2023, 1,476 people were involved, donating more than 4,500 items. That equated to approx 1.2 tons of clothes saved from going to landfill.
Shoppers at Ealing Broadway can donate clothing all year round at Love Not Landfill’s three permanent clothes banks on the first floor and in St. Saviour’s Walk.
