THREE years after opening its doors, Ark Soane Academy in Gunnersbury Lane has been rated as Outstanding by Ofsted.
It welcomed its inaugural Year 7 students in September 2021, a year later than planned because of the pandemic.
In its March inspection, Ofsted commended the school for unwavering high standards, rigorous routines and exceptional student support.
“Teachers apply rigorous routines consistently that help to create an exceptionally supportive learning environment,” it noted.
Inspectors commended opportunities for personal growth through exploration days, daily family dining and extra-curricular clubs.
The school's journey started in 2018 when planning was approved to create a 1,200-student secondary school and 116 homes on the site of the former Acton College, part of Ealing, Hammersmith & West London College.
