A celebrity chef loved and employed by international footballers will be visiting the homes of lucky England fans during the Euro group play-offs to whip up a feast fit for Lions, while they watch the game.
Instead of biting their nails during the dramatic final two group stage matches against Denmark and Slovenia, footie lovers can cheer on our players while eating just like them from the comfort of their own sofas.
Jonny Marsh, aka ‘The Football Feeder’, who has catered for England stars including Kyle Walker and Jordan Pickford, as well as international players, has designed a menu inspired by dishes loved by his clients – including Vindaloo Pie and Mash.
Anyone who orders a Match Day Meal Deal on the Deliveroo app during this first weekend of the tournament will be entered into the draw for a chance of having Jonny come round to cook for them and three mates on either June 20 or June 25.
The ‘Baller Bites’ menu includes a WINGER-ERLANDDD starter of chicken wings for kick off (or a vegetarian option of Mac and Cheese Dippers) a main course of Beef or Vegetable Vindaloo Pie and Mash followed by the Three Lions Dessert: Limoncello Eton Mess.
Jonny is a Michelin-star trained chef, who was mentored by Raymond Blanc. He provides tailor-made sports nutrition meals to some of the Premier League stars, often cooking in their own homes and even eating with them.
He said: “Food and football are my two biggest passions, which is why I was delighted when Deliveroo asked me to create my exclusive Baller Bites menu.
“Having spent the past year helping my famous clients prepare for the upcoming summer of football, it’s hugely exciting to bring some of their favourite cheat meals to the UK’s biggest footie fans.”.
Arabella Jenkins at Deliveroo said: “With a huge number of England fans set to host their own viewing parties at home, we wanted to give our customers a chance to make this summer of football an experience like no other.”
Getting involved couldn’t be simpler. Anyone who orders a match day bundle from Deliveroo’s selected restaurants between Friday 14th June and before the first England match concludes this Sunday will automatically be entered to the competition.
There are hundreds of match-day deals from restaurants to be found in-app in the Offers section. Or, for those who fancy rolling up their sleeves and recreating Jonny’s recipes at home, find step-by-step instructions Recipes Here and the ingredients in the Grocery page of the app.
