ARK Acton Academy's Music Scholars project is benefiting from a £500 donation by Tesco. The money comes from its Stronger Starts programme.
The Music Scholars project provides resources to help pupils develop their musical talent.
Alice Johnstone, the school’s head of music, said: "We are fortunate to have a vibrant and diverse music department, and the support from will significantly enhance our efforts."
Cash will specifically go towards instruments for GCSE music students and allow them to practise at home, as well as at school.
