MEADOW House Hospice in Southall is urging people to sign up for the Ealing Half Marathon and raise funds to support its work.
Based at Ealing Hospital, Meadow House provides specialist palliative and end-of-life care for patients with life-limiting illness who are registered with a GP in Ealing or Hounslow.
It is one of three platinum headline charities named by the race organisers this year.
Ealing’s annual half marathon is a closed-road community event over 13.1 miles, starting in Lammas Park on Sunday, September 29.
Thousands of spectators will be lining the route and cheering on the runners.
A Meadow House spokesperson said: “We would love to have you on our team. Sign up for your free place and pledge to raise £150 for [us].”
You must be aged 17 or over on the day to take part.
As a #TeamMeadowHouse runner you will receive:
- A free Meadow House kit that includes a running vest, a sports water bottle, sweatbands and a drawstring bag
- A fund-raising pack
- Cheers from the thousands of spectators lining the route
- A space to recover from the excitement after the event and chat with other runners and volunteers
- Photographs on the day
For more details on how to sign up, email LNWH-tr.meadowhouse@nhs.net or visit the Meadow House website.
