GREENFORD High School in Lady Margaret Road reported 26% of all grades were at A/A* in an outstanding set of A-level and BTEC results.

Twenty students achieved all three grades at A*-A while almost a fifth of the cohort achieved at least two grade A/A* results.

In fact, almost three-quarters of grades were at A* to C.

In BTEC, more than 70% achieved Distinction+ and more than 90% had a Merit or higher. 

Three students secured places at Oxbridge: Lauren-Ava Carey and Tejuspreet Ubhi at Oxford (Ancient and Modern History and Biomedical Sciences respectively) while Meiya Ooi will study Modern and Medieval Languages at Cambridge.

Salah Altaleb, having achieved 3 A*s, will be going off to the world-renowned California Institute of Technology. 

Bavneet Sehra, Karan Brar and Riya Maugi all achieved a perfect 3 A*s. Bavneet will be studying Engineering at Imperial; Karan, Computer Science at King’s; and Riya, Economics at UCL.

Ten students secured a place on a medicine/ dentistry programme: Zainab Ferhat (Imperial), Bansi Patel (UCL), Musawer Yousufy, Muhamed Al-Farttoosi, Jasmin Matta, Saleem Mohamed and Abdirahman Said (Queen Mary), Sofia Sahibudin and Abuzhar Butt (King’s) and Yazan Al Istewani (Brunel). 

The following students achieved straight A* and A grades: Syed Abbas, Muhammed Abbas-Ibrahim, Manraj Bhachu, Assia Bouras, Sageethan Dayananthan, Nattalie Gutierrez, Malisa Rahman, Suber Said, Manveen Singh, Piraniya Thavarajah and Mohammed Yusuf.

For those taking a purely BTEC route, outstanding results were obtained by Emily Sanchez, Zobair Omar, Sehaj Singh, Mikhail Thalukdar, Harleen Arri and Leah Judge.
