DETECTIVES investigating a series of mobile phone thefts in the Ealing Common and Acton areas have released images of a man they want to identify and speak with.
On Tuesday, July 30, they were alerted after a man used a distraction technique to steal a mobile phone in Gunnersbury Lane.
A few weeks later, on Wednesday, August 14, there was a report of the same offence, this time in Uxbridge Road.
In both cases, the suspect approached the victims and engaged them in conversation, asking for donations.
Det Sgt Richard Kidd said: “I am keen to identify and speak to this man, who has a distinctive mark on his inner left lower leg.
"We now have two reports of incidents that are almost identical in method and we want to put a stop to the suspect's activities before any further offences are committed.”
If you know this man, or have information, call 101 or post on X @MetCC quoting 5610/16AUG.
