PLAYERS and supporters attended a tennis social and fund-raiser in support of W4 Youth at Rocks Lane centre.
Chris Warren, founder of Rocks Lane, was among them, along with Aimee Fuller, twice a British Olympic snowboarder, who popped by after her padel tennis game.
The W4 Youth Fund-raising Tree was officially launched and everyone looked forward to raising money to expand its work and to build a new youth and community centre in Southfield Recreation Ground for the wider community.
Sally Chacatté, W4 Youth founder and chair, said: “Massive thanks to Rocks Lane for this wonderful event and their continued support in our journey to expand the work we do with young people in our community.
“The fund-raising tree is now located at Rocks Lane and we thank everyone for their donations.”
Cllr Gary Malcolm, a W4 Youth Trustee, said: “Our aim is to continue to provide a safe space, to bring out the star in everyone of us.”
Chris Warren, founder of Rocks Lane, said ““I have fond memories of our local youth club in Yorkshire, where I first picked up a racket and knocked a ball around, and the rest is history.”
