ALMOST 800 residents have signed a petition about the lack of leaf collections in Ealing.
There are heightened fears that vulnerable residents, especially those with limited mobility, could fall and suffer injuries in the scattered leaves.
It follows a gusty weekend in which Storm Bert blew through the borough.
The Liberal Democrat petition calls on the council to remove the leaves from pavements, to reduce the chance slips, falls and injuries.

Ealing Lib Dems say the council previously deployed additional street cleaners to collect leaves.
Now, they say, the council is encouraging residents and volunteer groups to collect the leaves. Free bags can be requested from the council after completing an online form.
Cllr Gary Malcolm, Leader of the Opposition on Ealing Council, said: “We think it is time to draw attention to basic services which residents should be able to rely on as part of paying their council tax.”
