A SUPERMARKET security guard was stabbed as he attempted to stop a group of shoplifters.
The 45-year-old guard was stabbed in the stomach by a woman outside Safeway in King Street, Acton, after following two women and a man out of the store.
The three attackers made off in a white Vauxhall Belmont. The first attacker is described as a black man, aged 30, 5ft 5ins tall with cropped black hair. He was of slim build and wore sunglasses. The second is described as a black woman, aged 25 and of slim build.
The woman with the knife is also described as black, aged 25, 5ft 5ins tall and of slim build. She had a black handled 8ins knife.
