CHURCHES in Ealing and Hanwell held a Christmas parade on Sunday, December 11 the first of its kind in the borough.
Called Soul in Ealing, the parade starting outside St Mellitus Church, in Hanwell and also in Ealing Green.
Around 800 people took part in the event, which ended at Haven Green, where a Christmas service was held, involving carols, performances, readings and prayers.
Sixteen police officers helped cordon off the procession which went down Spring Bridge Road, the Uxbridge Road and Dean's Gardens.
It is hoped the procession will become an annual event.
