SOUTH Ealing tube is one of four Underground stations on the Piccadilly Line undergoing a face lift.
The work, part of a £550 million improvement programme being carried out by the company Tube Lines, is due to be completed by the summer next year.
It will be carried out at night, when the tubes stop running for the day, and when finished will see the new and improved features in the stations, such as better electronic platform display panels and new floors.
Alan O'Dowd, project manager for Tube Lines, said: "The stations themselves will look and feel brighter and the introduction of new technology means there will be more information and better safety for customers."
