A PERIVALE man who vanished from his home on September 10 has been found dead.
Police said that the body of Steven Paul Barrett, who preferred to be known as Paul, was found today (Friday) in the Greenford area.
"Although we await formal ID, we are satisfied the person is Steven Paul Barrett," they said.
"This is not being treated as suspicious."
Mr Barratt's family have been informed. A date for a post mortem has yet to be arranged.
In an appeal for help in finding Mr Barratt published in yesterday's Ealing Times, his stepson, Frank Lockwood, said: "He is one of the gentlest men I have ever known.
"He has always been there for us and we hope he comes home safely."
Mr Barratt, a heating control engineer who had recently worked on the new terminal five at Heathrow, was the sole carer for his wife, who suffers from osteoarthritis and osteoparosis.
