RARE and extinct birds and flowers will be the stars of a new exhibition by an Ealing artist, writes Sara Black.
Judith Gordon, of Pitshanger Lane, will be displaying her paintings and portraits of creatures with a "tenuous hold on life" at the Garden Gallery in Osterley Park, Isleworth, from Friday next week (September 29).
The exhibition, Fair and Fowl, features endangered birds and landscapes from Portugal, Scotland, Gozo and various places in England.
Judith, who has worked as an artist for almost 20 years, said: "All of the subjects have a tenuous hold on life.
"There are a lot of beautiful and brave things in the environment that we need to open our eyes and see, and hope that we can save in the future."
The project, which took over a year, consists of 35 paintings.
Judith's previous work includes murals at Brent Lodge Park, Ealing, and a colouring book for Ealing Council.
Her latest exhibition will run until October 8. The gallery is open from Wednesdays to Sundays, between 1pm and 4.30pm.
