A BAND will be playing and a visiting chef will be serving up seasonal morsels when the Ealing Farmers' Market celebrates its fifth anniversary on Saturday.
Music is being provided by singer Claire Davies and a band of local musicians while local chef Mark Gautier will be cooking up food with a French twist and giving away some free tasters as well as a market birthday cake for customers between 9am and 1pm.
Shoppers will be able to buy meats, vegetables, fruits and cheeses direct from the farm, organic sausages, organic cakes and biscuits and apples straight from the tree.
Market organiser Mark Handley said: "It's great that the market has been here for five years, we hope it will be here for many more and will continue to bring really fresh food to the people of Ealing."
The new Economics Foundation recently released a report about the Ealing Farmers Market showing the benefits it had brought to the area both for customers and other businesses.
The weekly market now attracts some 500 customers to the area that make use of other shops and services benefiting the local economy.
