A MAN who admitted stealing three pedigree puppies from a pet shop has been sentenced to 16 weeks in prison.
Jason Kelly, 35, of Grosvenor Road, Hanwell, was convicted on Tuesday at Ealing Magistrates' Court of the burglary of Silvesters Premier Puppies Pet shop in Greenford on August 28 and the theft of three Staffordshire bull terrier puppies.
Nine dogs were reported stolen, but following appeals two more have now been returned.
A 25-year-old woman from Cambridge Road, Hanwell, received a formal caution from the police for handling stolen goods after she contacted police with fears she had bought one of the dogs.
