A YOUNG mother killed herself and her two children by jumping into the path of a train, an inquest has found.
Navjeet Sidhu, 27, jumped in front of the 100mph Heathrow Express at Southall station on August 30, 2005, clutching her children in her arms.
Mrs Sidhu and her daughter Simran, five, died instantly.
Her son Aman, who was 22 months-old, died in hospital two hours later.
Six months later, and still overcome with grief, Mrs Sidhu's mother, Satwant, 56, returned to the station and stood in the path of a First Great Western train.
Coroner Alison Thompson recorded suicide verdicts for the women and said the children were "unlawfully killed".
Satwant Sidhu's family said the deaths had left her "completely inconsolable".
"No matter how, as a family, we tried to help, she could not find comfort in anything or anyone," they said in a statement.
