A SYRIAN cleric and his wife have been ordered to stand trial next year for alleged terrorist offences.
Yassin Nassari, 27, of St Stephen Avenue, Ealing, is said to have had documents on his laptop computer which included details on how to make a rocket-propelled explosive.
His wife Bouchra El-Hor, 23, who has joint Syrian and Dutch nationality, wrote a letter praising his alleged plans for jihad and offering herself and the couple's son for martyrdom, it is said.
The couple appeared via video link at the Old Bailey on Friday, September 29, and were told they will stand trial on May 23 next year for offences under the Terrorism Act 2000.
They are now expected to enter pleas to the charges at a case management hearing on December 11.
It is alleged that between May 12 and May 30 this year El-Hor was in possession of information which she knew or believed might be of assistance in preventing terrorism which she did not disclose.
She was arrested with her husband at Luton Airport when they arrived from Holland on May 30.
l Police are still looking through 12,000 documents seized from a laptop computer and another hard drive. The files, many in Arabic are said to include one called "A Training Schedule for Committing Jihad" as well as instructions on using rockets, mines and detonators.
