Lennox Anyanwu says Harlequins have ended the first block of Gallagher Premiership Rugby fixtures in perfect style after storming to a bonus point win at Exeter Chiefs.
Will Evans bagged two of Quins’ five tries to inflict a club-record sixth successive Premiership defeat on Chiefs, winning 36-19.
Sealing their first win at Sandy Park in 10 years to move up to fifth in the table, Quins demonstrated just how dangerous they can be even without their England stars, with Marcus Smith, Alex Dombrandt and Fin Baxter all on Autumn Nations Series duty.
“I'm really happy, all the boys are happy,” Anwanyu said. “We knew that it'd be hard coming down here.
“Despite their results, they're a good side, so to end the block with five points is really, really good.
“I think they said we hadn't won it for ten years, so it was quite a big thing to come here and do what we just did.
“We came here with the mindset that we had to be physical and it was back and forth, but in the end we won it.”
Racking up their sixth bonus point of the season, Quins showcased their attacking power in abundance at Sandy Park, with Rodrigo Isgro, Oscar Beard and Cadan Murley also crossing.

And while there is still room for improvement in the final 22, Harlequins attack coach Nick Evans is happy with what his side are creating going forward.
He said: "Result-wise, five points, scoring 30-odd points down here, with my attack head on, after 15 minutes, I'm probably thinking, 'why are we not 25 points up?'
"We butchered a couple of opportunities, we were creating a lot.
"The plan we had during the week was working and we just weren't quite nailing it, so we probably made it a little bit more nerve-wracking towards the end than we needed to.
"But I think the result was really important coming off last week, which was really disappointing to let Bath back in the game and win it, when we felt we were in a good position in control of that game."
