Queens Park Rangers overcame the dismissal of Emmanuel Ledesma to earn a valuable 1-1 draw at Bristol City in the Championship on Saturday.
The R's enjoyed the ideal start to the game at Ashton gate as Dexter Blackstock fired them into the lead following a long pass from Mikele Leigertwood.
But City equalised when Dele Adebola headed in Brian Wilson's cross.
The visitors suffered a blow when Ledesma was given his marching orders seven minutes into the second half for a second booking but they held on for a hard-fought point.
First-team coach Iain Dowie said: "I don't know why he got booked in the first half. he throws the ball to the man; the man lets it go and it's Ledesma's fault. I'll be having a look at it on the video.
"After that Emmanuel showed his inexperience with a silly tackle to get himself sent off."
