BASKETBALL: London United returned to winning ways with a comprehensive 106-86 win over Coventry Crusaders at Brunel Osterley on Saturday.
United started poorly, conceding 31 points in the first quarter, but they were on fire in the second period, outgunning Coventry 24-8 thanks to three long three-pointers by Pete Deppisch.
Coventry faded in the second half, having to rely on their starting five, with Deppisch nailing four more threes as London stretched their lead to 77-65. And it was all over in the fourth as Deppisch added another brace of three-pointers as United cruised to victory.
Saturday sees United visit Kings Lynn in the league before they go to Guildford Heat on Sunday in their final BBL Trophy encounter.
