Brentford boss Thomas Frank dismissed talk of targets as he called on his side to keep looking up the table ahead of Saturday’s clash with Crystal Palace.

The Bees will look to extend their 10 game unbeaten run which include victories over Liverpool and Manchester City, and come into the weekend’s clash off the back of a valiant 1-1 draw with title-chasing Arsenal at the Emirates.

Three points against Palace would give the Bees a chance to overtake local rivals Fulham and Brighton, who play each other at the same time tomorrow, and the Dane encouraged his players to put no limit on their ambitions this season.

Frank said: “There’s no targets. We are allowed to dream and we are pleased with where we are.

“We have an almost fully fit squad, players in form, and players full of confidence.

"We are in a top place, but we need to do everything we can to keep this up.

“Our overall performance is good; you can see that in the player’s faces. We talk about the good place we are in and we need to continue.

“Our 10 game unbeaten run is well deserved but now it is about doing it one more time against a very good Crystal Palace.”

Frank confirmed that star forward Ivan Toney will be fit for Saturday's encounter after holding his hamstring whilst being substituted against Arsenal last week.

Only Erling Haaland and Harry Kane have more league goals than Toney in the Premier League this season, who has netted 14 times this term, eight more than Palace top scorer Wilfried Zaha.

The mercurial Ivorian is set to miss the trip to West London for Patrick Vieira’s men however due to a hamstring injury, but Frank is adamant his side will remain wary of other threats.

“There are always key players in every team,” he added. “Zaha is a top player for them but when other players come in, the dynamics change slightly and others step up.

“When I look at their individual quality, with [Michael] Olise and [Eberechi] Eze, I think it is huge.”
