QPR striker Michael Frey has revealed his side are ready to put things right as they welcome Portsmouth to MATRADE Loftus Road Stadium on Saturday.

The R's entered the recent international break having suffered three consecutive league defeats, with the West London side occupying the relegation places after picking up just seven points from nine league games so far this season.

And with QPR having spent the previous fortnight away from league action, Frey outlined the club's determination to end their winless run.

Speaking to the club website, Frey said: "We now enter the final preparations for Saturday and I know that we will give everything we can to win this game, like always.

"Things can change very quickly in football and we have to turn the tide now, bring back the positivity and really force our own luck. We have to work very hard in every action we take.

"I see determination in every player to put things right. The intensity is high and we are all pushing each other.

"In football, you live game-by-game, but we know that it is a long season. There are a lot of chances to take points still and it's on us to decide what is going to happen this year."

Rangers have most recently suffered league losses to Blackburn, Hull and Derby and will look to pick up a second league win of the season against John Mousinho's Portsmouth side in front of an expected bumper crowd at W12.

The south coast side were promoted as League One champions last campaign and while the relegation candidates are yet to register a league win this season, Frey is taking nothing for granted.

Frey added: "It's always the best feeling to play at home, but more than anything else, we want to win the game, to get three points.

"That feeling when you go home after a win is unmatched. Life is much better when you get three points and, like I said, we need to fight for them on Saturday.

"We still expect to play against a good team who deservedly won promotion last year. They will be just as keen to get the win."
